I have an H1B but don't have it stamped on my passport.
I need to travel to my home country in November but I heard they're denying work visas at US Consulare there, so I don't want to come back to US using my H1B because I don't want to run the risk of having my visa denied at my home country and not being able to come back.
My company wants to apply for my green card and I thought I could apply for advance parole right away, but lawyer told me I have to wait more than 9 months to do that. Isn't it possible to get the advance parole faster than that?
A friend of mine, in the same situation as me, got it in 1 month in 2006. Did the laws change?
