EAD Questions - please guide

Hi, My spouse has H1 and I am on H4. His employee is applying for green card. They filed LC in Jan 2009 and its approved now. I know that the next step is filing I140 and later I485.

Nationality: India

Here are my questions,
1) When do we apply for EAD?
2) Assuming we file I140 in a month or two, how long will it take to get EAD?

1. Along with your 485.
2. As per the current situation, you can forget that until 2019. No, it isn't a typo.

Did you mean EB2 or EB3? My priority date is EB2 July 2007. When might this become current? How did you determine 2019 in visah4's case?

USCIS has released pending case numbers for each category and country. You can see how many cases are waiting and take a guess. With out any overflow from other categories, the wait is endless be it EB2 or EB3. There are many people that have almost obtained their PhDs predicting the dates based on this on other forums. I am not going to get into that.

The year I provided was just a wild guess. No statistical calculation involved.
