Lawyer has told me that some people are receiving theirs in 4-5 months but to expect 5-7.
Anyone had any luck without expediting service?

Hi, it took us 6 months to get EAD/AP combo card. We are also California filers but EAD/AP card is processed by NBC. We did not expedite but did file an SR by calling USCIS, since it was "outside normal processing time". Once you get your combo card, then your I-485 will be handled by your field office (FO) which will be in California.
