I-485 EAD/AP Renewal for Spouse taking very long

Hi All,

• EAD Renewal Filing (this is may be 7 time we did while waiting for 485 current): Sep. 12th
• Got my EAD/AP combo card: Oct. 12th
• Waiting for my spouse EAD/AP card, she has 2 months left on the auto 180 day extension to work
• Raised 2 or 3 case update requests by attorney past three months
• 5/14: Called USCIS, Representative (rep) shared that there was some communication sent to attorney on file.

We are waiting to see what communication it is; Rep shared that it is not approval.
Attorney is going to discuss next week on USCIS expedite request, if it can be applied.


Anybody in same boat or any guidance appreciated.

i got approved last week. My PD was 7/10/2019.

balo101 thank you. So you applied for EAD on 7/10/2019? Our is Texas service center; what was yours?
Also, was that for primary applicant that it took so much time or was it dependent in the application.

We renewed 3 EADs for the first time. Primary applicant and one dependent approved in 24 days the other dependent took 133 days, no idea why the difference.

Thank you Enub4. Even we have no clue why that is taking so long for my spouse (Dependent application).
