  • Timeline after expedite approved?

My EAD expedite was approved 7 days ago. How long until my card will be produced?

  • #2
Once they review your application and decide to approve it (14 days), then the card will be produced (add another 7-10 days to receive it)
This is assuming they approve your application / no errors / filing fee issues etc.

You should receive a form I-512 Advance Parole letter. Since it's been 8 days since approval, you ought to get that letter today or tomorrow in the mail.

I'm in a similar situation to you:

          P.D. (24th March 2020)
9th June: "We approved your request for expedite processing."
          10th June: "Case was approved."

Haven't done biometrics, so I'm wondering if it's going to be stuck at "Case was approved" until I do...

          Has your status changed yet?

USCIS told me today (via chat) that they'd applied biometrics to my case from elsewhere. Hmm.

              Hi there,

I did not know it was possible to file for an expedite on EAD without having done the biometrics! wow!
Tomorrow it's 90 days since my PD, I wanted to call them on Monday and ask what's up.

I called about two weeks ago about the biometrics, I wanted to know if they could use the finger prints and photo they took when I landed in New York last year.
I had the flight number, passport number, the time I passed customs etc... but the lady said there's no way I can make such a request and I should only wait and see if they apply "by themselves" any bio to my file. She did not tell me about the expedite...

                Hello all,

Just called USCIS, the lady said 91 days since PD is still in normal processing time for EAD, she said 6 months.

She also thinks I might not qualify for expedite, my husband kept his job during COVID so no "severe financial loss" and not seeing my family for more than a year doesn't sound like "humanitarian emergency" either...

I guess I'll just have to wait 90 more days.

                Ha, 89 sorry. Yeah.
