EAD with I-485 when EAD is active through H4-EAD process

My spouse already has H4 EAD. As part of Oct Visa bulletin, I am eligible to apply for I-485 and EAD. While applying I-485 it is suggested to apply for EAD too. Since my spouse already has H4 EAD, can I apply I765 again? Will there be any impact to the active EAD if there is any approval/denial to EAD through I-485.

I'm not familiar with H4 EAD, does it has any restrictions to work/travel? Will you be able to renew the H4 EAD while the AOS is pending or will it expire before you get the GC?

I have read about people that are working with their current permit, get AOS EAD and never use it but still renew the AOS EAD just in case they need to travel abroad (current work permit doesn't allow dual intent).

From what I read, you can have both and if they deny the AOS EAD it shouldn’t affect the H4 EAD.
