Hi All

I have filled my I-485 (GC) and I-765 (EAD) applications together and got the reciepts after 3 months..

I read it takes maximum 4 months to get the EAD from the date of filing my application but it has been more than 5 months and i have not recieved my EAD.

Could someone tell me why is it taking so much time .My application has been filed under EB3 (downgraded from EB2-EB3).

Please help to explain me the process and when can i expect to get my EAD.

There has been lot of delay to send receipts. Looks like they have picked up now.
Abt EAD few yrs back we used to get eads within 3 mths. Now its become worst. Not sure how long I-485 ead is taking now but L2 Ead takes 6-8 mths.

If you go to https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ you can see that it is taking way longer than before, for example, Texas Service Center times for I764 is between 4 and 11 months.

I sent my second renewal more than 2 months ago and I haven't received the receipt yet. In 2019 sometimes they were able to approve and send the renewed combo card in a month or two. The receipts always arrived in 2-3 weeks, not anymore.

I checked the current processing time for EADs and they moved fast..it is moving one day everyday .USCIS shows 2 months to 4.5 months for other categories but I-485 based EADs are still taking 4.5 months to 6 months.Has anybody got EAD in 2 months /4months?
