  • Travel document after green card

    Hi,

I had applied to get my refugee travel document (I-131) almost two months ago while I had a pending i485 application. When I applied for the refugee travel document, I was on approved asylum status with an active ongoing i485. Two weeks ago I finally received my green card after my i485 was approved.

My I-131 application hasn’t been approved yet and I know the wait line is long for that. Now I’m wondering do I need to reapply for a new i131 travel document with my new status? Or hopefully uscis automatically realizes that I have a new permanent residence status?

    Can someone help me please?

    Hi,
I hope, USCIS will come to know the I-485 Approval when they adjudicate the petition. I think, you dont require to file another application.
    Thanks

They will just close the case. You have a greencard, that's what should matter to you.
