Convert from O3 to VAWA - EAD form

I’m not sure how to answer a question on my i765 form and don’t have the money for an attorney.

I am applying for renewal of my expired EAD/AP. I initially had the authorisation from my O3 status (when I filed i485) but I have now applied for VAWA.

My question is, because I’m now applying through non-approved (yet) vawa and not O3, is it still a renewal of i765 or is it a new application?

Sorry, I meant I applied for a greencard as an O3 visa holder. He had O1. So I got EAD that way…now I’ve converted to VAWA and want a renewal. Not sure if it is actually a renewal!
