I have recently joined Indian Consulting Organization. I am working at client location. My employer is willing to apply Green Card for me. And he is asking for my consent for applying Green Card. As per their policy I have to pay Attorney fees for GC processing.
At this situation would like to go this process smooth with out any legal complications or issues. I don’t want to face any surprising legal risks or issues further when audit occurs or some other foreseen situation occur.
Now my specific questions are
(1) What are the aspects and points that I have to consider before I sent my consent and invest my money on GC with current employer?
(2) How can I know that my employer is complying law with reference to Green Card?
(3) If later in any audit if it proves that my employer is not complying law then what is the impact on me?
