Hi all,
Here is my situation: I am a researcher with a decent CV, and my employer agreed to sponsor my green card application. The company lawyer is currently pursuing PERM and EB-2; I am trying to decide on which of the following two strategies would make more sense:
1. Trying to persuade my employer and its lawyer to switch to EB1-B (outstanding researchers); or
2. Keep the employer sponsored PERM and EB-2 process, while independently pursuing EB1-A with my own money hiring a private lawyer.
Of course the strength of my CV matters a lot; I have around 25 publications, with more than half (15) being either the first authored or the senior author; google scholar H index 7, citation 130. I understand that there is always the chance of denial when pursuing EB1.
Which strategy would you recommend that I pursue? Thanks a lot!
