Hi everyone,
Would really appreciate an answer on this as I couldn't find one from my research.
When applying for an employment-based green card, I know priority dates for the different employment-based categories are broken down based on country. My country of birth is Vietnam, which belongs to "All charge-ability areas except those listed." The latest bulletin has the priority date for EB-3 for this group at Oct 1 2014. Does this mean everyone whose country of birth is in this group has this same priority date, or this is just an estimate / average, and the actual priority date still depends on which specific country?
Also, since Oct 1 2014 is about 6 months away from now, does this mean that when I apply for my EB-3 green card in the future, all else equal, it will take approximately 6 months from getting my I-140 approved until I can file an adjustment of status?
Much appreciated,
TonyPham
