  • L1A to Green Card process

I am on an L1A in my 6th year and my visa is valid till Aug 2017. I am a Sales manager for an IT services company.

Q1. What is the recommended way to process my Green card?

Q2. Is the below process a viable option in light of the current US Government's immigration policies.

    - Apply for GC through EB2 Perm Process>> Move to H1B and continue to extend my H1B visa till my GC is approved.

Yes, you can go the option 2 route, but a big hurdle is: You will have to first be able to get a H1 in the lottery. Also, if you are already in the 6th year, you will have no eligibility left for H1, and hence may not get it approved.

Not sure what EB2 perm is but couldnt you just get your work to petition for you with I140?
Then simultanously file 485 AOS from L1 to GC, 765 for Employment authorization and 131 for Advanced Parole.
EAD will be cutting it close already if we're talking about august..
This is my opinion, not legal advice!

PERM process is the first step in filing a I140 under the EB2 category by the employer.
