    Implications of being out of stataus for I485

    Hi,
    I am applying for my I485.
    But, my spouse (now on H4) in the past stayed in the US with an expired I-20 for about 2 years..

    Can anyone let us know how this might impact our applications....

      as long as she has been legal sine her last entry into USA then it is better, but yours is a classic case where a lawyer will be more useful
