Recently I heard that people who used print outs of scanned Birth certificates and affidavits may get rejections on I-485 applications , since with help of editing softwares , it is possible to edit/manipulate scanned documents , so only simple and straight forward xerox of original documents r welcome ? Is it true that they will reject applications which has print outs of scanned documents?

    Not True.

Most of my firends you applied and got approvals for GC used scanned copies only.

Again - If there is a concern from USCIS on the genuinity of a document, you should expect to get an RFE or a notice of intent to deny.

    Don't worry about such rumors..

      Stop Listening!

Please stop listening to the stupid rumours and use your common senses. All the documents that I have ever submitted anywhere have always been printouts from scanned images.

Also, I can tell you that I have known a lot of people doing this as scanning documents and saving the images is the best way to keep backup copies in case of emergency.

Don't worry about it and please STOP LISTENING to your "friends'" BS.

      Good luck.

        Documents scanned

It is not true. You can submit the scanned copies as any how you have to carry the original papers at the time of Interview or clarifications. One of my friends papers were submitted by Scanned copies only.
