My husband filed in 2004. My GC file has come to Jacksonville but his went to New York for some time for some reason. And now the assigned officer says the file is lost. What now?

Didn't you ask the assigned officer? It's a good question to ask the officer, I would think.

The assigned officer has added this notation that his file is missing. The agent we spoke to said file has to be reconstructed. Not sure how long it takes and what we have to do from our end.
