  • Green Card

I am in the USA and my visa is expired and basically I am over stay. I just got married who is US citizen but financially not qualified to sponsor me for the US green card and I am not in rush to get green card. I don't need work permit. And no other financial source to help us qualify the affidavit of support. But we have the money to live here.

Can I continue to stay in the US just based on my married certificate?

What is my limit to stay in the US?

Do I need to get out every 6 months and get back or what?

    Thank you for your answer.

I think you should talk a lawyer.

You are in a mess! Do not leave the country or you will be banned from re-entering. You must find a co-sponsor. Your wife must get a job or have assets to offset the income requirements! You cannot use a B2 visa to live in the country.

As I said, you have a real problem.
