GC Processing on L1B

Hi,

My employer agreed to do GC for me and I am on 4th year of my L1B and I have a bachelors degree cs and 8 years of experience.My questions are

1. Am I eligible for EB2 cat****y?
2. Since L1 cannot be extended after 5 years , if I start the processing soon will I have to be out of the country for 1 year?

1. Depends on what the job requirements are. If the job requires a BS + 5 yrs progressive experience and you meet the requirements, you may get an EB-2 I-140 if your PERM is approved.

2. What's your country of birth? If you are NOT from India OR China, your EB-2 case might go faster as all other chargeability are current.
