Can I work with my existing EAD even If I change to H4.

Hi,
My husband is in L1 right now and am in L2 working with my EAD. My husband's status would be changing to H1 from this October 2008. Can I continue to work with my existing EAD even after my status changes from L2 to H4?. What would happen to my H4?. Could I be able to go to India if I work with the EAD and while my husband is in H1.

Please provide me an answer as I am really upset leaving my job.

NO. EAD is for L2 status and when your husband changes over to H1b, you need to have a H4 COS filed now or before he enters H1b. Otherwise you are illegal in the US.

No work on H4 and your L2 EAD is void. Any work on EAD past Oct makes your work unauthorized and will have serious consequences.
