How long is i485 process time?

I file I-485, I-140, and I- on March 22,09.
I received my EAD card on April 7, and got finger print notice for April 15, 09.
My Labor Certificate Priority date is July 15,2008. The USISC sent me a notice on March 24, 09 with tracking number.

I am Taiwanese, file EB2(advanced degree), Nebraska service center.
My H1 B visa expires on October 2010.
How long do I need to wait for -140 and I-485 for approval and do I need to extend my H1 Visa to another 3 years?

Hi,

I have a similar situation as yours, EB2. I filed my 1-140 and I-485 in early April 09. My I-140 have already been approved early this July. My attorney said my I-485 probably will be approved by this Oct.

My H1-B visa will also be expired in 2010. My attorney advised me to apply for EAD (employment authorization card) which is FREE, Renewable and valid for 1 year. Accordingly, I just need to renew the EAD if my GC still haven't been approved next year. I don't think you need to pay expensive petition fee to renew the H1-B visa while waiting for your G-C approval. Pls futher consult with your attorney.

I485 processing time

Thank you for your response. I got my I140 approved on Aug 14, now I am waiting for my i485. Do you know what is the process time get a green card approval if we are Taiwanese citizens? I am hoping to get it approved by end of this year then I don't think I will need to renew my H1 B visa.
