Changing role after getting Green Card

Hello Friends,

I am on H1 visa right now and working as Network Engineer. My employer is ready to sponsor my green card.

Is it possible to complete my 1 yr. MBA and join the management after getting my green card?

Simply putting, Is it possible to change the role(But in the same filed-IT) after getting the employment based green card??

Changing role after getting Green Card

yes definitely, you can change your job and roles once you are green.
But its advisable you continue with the firm which filed your gc for another 6 months before moving to another job.

Reason - When you file for citizenship, the uscis might suspect your motives of having worked in the first company. You are giving them a room to believe that you stayed in the company for the sole purpose of getting a GC and moved out immediately after getting one. Its best not to create that impression.

so its always advisable to stay with the same cmopany for 6 months before you move
