  • question on eligibility for EB2

    Hi,

I have a question on EB2 eligibility . I have bachelors degree (B.Tech - 4 yrs) and 4.5 yr of experience beofre joining present compnay. I have been working for this company from the past 2.5 yrs.

    1. My manager is saying that he will change my position to lead and onsider the current experience to make 7 yrs in total. Is this process acceptable ?

    2. I have done 6 months projet during my final semester of B.Tech. Can i include this project experience to make my total experience as 5 yrs and get eligibility for EB2 even with out considering my current company experience.

    Please help me.

    Thanks,
    Raj.

your bosses proposal is the best one. You dont need to add your project becuase it is part of your thesis/degree

I do have the same question, actually when i was in college i did my internship in last semester for 6 months. After my course i worked for that company for 1 yr and changed my company.

But my experience letter includes the duration which i spent as an intern, and i used that experience to file my first H1B, which i think will be in the records of USCIS.

Is it advisable for me to show that experience, if i am going to process my GREENCARD,,,,,will it become a problem if i include or i dont include.

If I exclude that 6 months and just show 1 year will there be any issue or query on that???

      Please advise!!!

      Regards,

For consideration of the experience, it is important that the exp be obtained AFTER the degree.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

          Thanks txh1b:

So is it better for me NOT TO INCLUDE that during my GC process. Is it safe to do so??

In that case i will have 4 years and 11 months experience.... with Master's Degree (Professional) -equivalent to US degree....will this qualify me for
          EB2???

          Your response is highly appreciated...
