  • H-1B Stamping needed for Green card ????

    Hello Friends,
I got H1b approval in 2009, and now i want to file for Green card. My H1 B stamping is still not done. I am very confused that if i file for green card now and after 6 monts if i go to India and stand for H1 B stamping, are there any chances that they may creat a problem for me (bcoz i filed for GC)?
In short (1) is it advisable to file GC without H1 stamping or (2) should i go to Canada or Mexico for stamping? or (3) i should go to India , do stamping, come back and file for GC?
Please advise me to choose any option & if you have any experience with the same issue please share it.......
    Thanks for your co-operation.........

    Its fine

    Naresh,
You should be fine. I went to India last year after my company filed my PERM application and got my H-1B visa stamped on my passport. H-1B visa comes with dual intent which means that it is OK to file for immigrant status with an H1B visa. The visa officer will not view that as a red flag.
    Good luck.
