I have an I-140 approved in the EB1-C category but I-485 is not filed yet because the priority date is not current. I-140 is approved for more than 1 year.
I have an uniques situation now because a division of my company got acquired by another company and the name of the company is changing. My role is of similar capacity as before but the new-title and the company name will be different.
I wanted to understand how this will affect my EB1-C green card?
Can I port my existing I-140 to the acquiring company and file the I-485 once the priority date becomes current?
