  • GC- EB2 approved I140 and starting a new PERM with consular processing

    Hello,
My case - I have approved I140 in EB2 with priority date going to be current very soon from my old employer.
During my H1b visa stamping in US consulate, India,my H1b visa extension got rejected based on 221g-Green color.
Now i have found a company who is ready to sponser my PERM process as part of future employment while i am out of US. What are the possible options available for I140 filling with porting of priority date and using Consular processing instead of I1485?
I want to expedite the process and would like to know if I140 and CP can be done together once PERM is approved?
Is it possible to get PERM approved eventhough i am out of US?

    Thanks a lot.

It is possible to get PERM approved even if you are outside the U.S.

Consular processing can not be done until I-140 is approved.

It is not clear whether you would be able to port your priority date or not. You should talk to an attorney with your complete details and documents to make that determination.
