I-864 and I-864a Questions
Hello everyone, I have some questions regarding the Affidavit of Support.
My wife is sponsoring her both parents for immigrant visa and she is asked for I-864 for each parents. Since she is unemployed, I will be providing my income as a support which requires I-864a to be filled out by me. Here are some questions I have regarding this:
1) I only need to fill out one I-864a for both. Correct? In this case, I would write names of both parents in 13a and 13b. Correct?
2) In one I-864, #9, my wife would check the box and write other parent’s name. Same goes for the second I-864. Correct?
3) On I-864, #23, my wife’s income would be $0 (since she is unemployed) and I would include my income in 24b. Correct?
4) For #25, would she include the total income as listed on our joint tax returns of last three years? In this case, it is just my individual income and this would match #11 in I-864a.
