  • need help 4 cspa

    Hello,
I am derivative beneficiary under f4 category. My date of birth is 3 dec,1989 (12-3-1989).priority date is 28 aug 2001 which is going to be current within a month or two.
Now the question is where can I find approval date of I-130 petition ? So that I can calculate my cspa age.
    The details on I797 are
    Priority date- Aug 28, 2001
    Recipt date- sept 18, 2001
    Notice date - march 19, 2008
I also want to know if the approval date is same as the notice date. And if not where can I find approval date.
    Pls help asap

    Good luck.
Your case was pending for 6 years 7 months . So good luck !!
Your cspa age is around 17 years 3-4 months. Use a calculator to be sure .

Yes, your parent ( the beneficiary) needs to write a letter to NVC and the embassy where their interview will be requesting, that CSPA be applied in your situation, showing all dates etc. Research the F3 thread for post by aadryian and research CSPA for other cases on line in other forums, as its always good to educate yourself. Cheers !

Can I retain original priority date same as parents ?
I read somewhere that priority date retention is not applicable to derivative beneficiary of F3 and F4 applicants.
I am derivative beneficiary of F4 category.

Yes, the priority date remains the same. You are simply requesting CSPA, which will give you an age below 21 when calculated.
