  • Green card through father?

    Hi all!

I am a UK citizen, 21 and unmarried. My father was born to a US mother and UK father, so he has dual citizenship. He currently still has citizenship and has a US passport, however because he has lived in the UK for almost all of his life, he doesn't have a permanent address in the US, nor a bank account or even a SSN. Is it still possible for him to petition for a Green Card for me? I am currently studying in the US on an F-1 visa, and plan to be here (on the F-1) for t least another three years.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

It is possible if he is planning to move back to the US just before you get your greencard.

I believe it is call derivative citizenship once you are that old, but for younger is it call CRBA consular report of birth aboard. it should of been done many years ago, search that on the net.
