i485 Processing time

Hi

I've filed for the AOS on December and the USCIS registerd the case on Dec 16th. The last change of my case was recorderd on Jan 29 as "Is ready for interview scheduling". Since then there is no update to the status. It has been about 3 months from the last status change. My application is processing by National Benefit Center. Anyone know how long the application will stay in this status and when can I expect a letter from USCIS for my interview ? My local office is USCIS Tampa in Florida

We filed I130/I485 in the beginning of January, got biometrics done about a month later, and it says that as of Feb 24, we are ready for an interview, so it looks like we are a few weeks behind you. I have heard it takes about 6 months or so to get the green card in the mail, but I have also heard it takes 4 months if it is spouse-based. To be safe, I wouldn't expect your interview to be scheduled until at least April or possibly May. I would appreciate if you would update this post once you get your interview letter...thanks!

Just updated their timeline

Tampa - Oct 22 applications were processed by the end of March, so it looks like you may have your interview notice sent by the end of this month? fingers crossed for both of us.

My husband and I had a 9:30 appt this morning at the Tampa, Florida USCIS office on Hoover Blvd (note the notice says 5629 N Hoover Blvd, but our GPS didn't recognize the address if you put the north, so try just Hoover, and it should be just north and east on Hoover near Hillsborough) and we were approved by 9:45. Our timeline...

Jan 12, 2016 - Filed I-485 and I-130
early Feb - biometrics done
Oct 12, 2016 - Interview, and we were told the green card would be in the mail and should reach us in the next 10-14 days

It was very straightforward today. We arrived around 9am, and sat in the waiting room around 15 minutes before we were called in.

We didn't use a lawyer for any part of the application, and just made sure we had plenty of documentation to show the officer. They didn't even separate us, and just asked how we met and what docs we had...I went overboard to the point he told me to stop But in and out in 15 minutes with immediate approval made it all worth it. As soon as we receive it in the mail, I will truly be able to relax.
