  • cab my mom apply for me after reaching USA?

My mother is going USA next month.
My sister applied for my mother. She is a citizen of America.
I want to know that can my mother apply for me reaching there within 1 month?
Or it will take much time to apply for me..
    Help me please.....

You'll have to be much clearer. Who is a citizen of America? Your sister? Or your mom? What is your mom's status in the USA? Are you unmarried and under 21 years of age? This makes a big difference. There are lots of places that list who is eligible for green card sponsorship, for example https://www.immihelp.com/family-base...rd-categories/

My sister is the citizen of USA and she is bringing my mom in USA.
My question is can my mom apply immediately after reaching USA?
Or, she has to wait 5 years for application?

After arriving in the U.S. and having the I-551 stamp in her passport, your mom can turn around and immediately petition you, UNLESS YOU ARE MARRIED.. She must be a U.S. citizen to petition a married child.

Thank you ""Ray B " for your answer.
Still I have several questions in my mind.

          1. My mother will go USA within 1 year. After reaching USA if she applied for me how long time it will take to bring me in USA?

          2. I heard that application must be submitted before 2.5 years of reaching 21 years old it means my age should be 18.5 years when she applied for me. But my age is now 18 year 2 months.
Can I eligible for F2A category OR my mom has to submit F2B category for me?

          3. My last question is how long time it takes to get a green card after reaching USA?
          Please answere my question...

There is no hard rule about how old you must be for mom to petition you. If you "age out," turn 21, before your Priority Date is reached, your visa category will be automatically changed.

There is no exact time that it will take for you to be eligible for a quota visa, probably 14 to 24 months.

You are immediately eligible for a Green Card when you arrive here on an immigrant visa. But the actual receipt of the Green Card will be between 1 and 4 months. In the meantime, you will have an I-551 annotation in your passport certifying your Permanent Resident status for a year.

cab my mom apply for me after reaching USA?

First my question would be why were you not listed as dependent on your mothers petition when you aunt applied for her immigrant visa?

                      I also have similar problem

My uncle is US citizen. He applied for my father in 1995 . But priority date became current in 2006 that time I was over 21 years by 2 month. I could not come to USA with my father because of age problem.
My grandfather also applied for my father in 2002. But my father got his first call from my uncles file so he came to USA in 2007. My father had green card when he applied for me On September 2007 he applied for me.
My first question is can I get any benefit from my grand fathers file?
If no how long it will take for me to come to USA ?

F2B Priority Date is now February 2007 for all countries except Mexico and Philippines. Mexico is May 1993; Philippines is June 2003.
                        (7 years, 21 years, 11 years).

That means uscis is processing applications filed in Feb 2007 for F2B cases

If you filed today according to the wait times yours will be only looked at 7 years from today

"Priority Date" is the State Department-assigned date that a particular class of visa can be processed. For Family-based petitions, each visa application (spouse, children, parents) is assigned a Priority Date upon receipt by USCIS. Some relationships are "immediate priority," such as parents, spouses and children under 21 of U.S. citizens. Other relationships (spouses, children of Green Card petitioners) are subject to waiting times for available visa slots, and their Priority Dates which are reachable are published each month by the State Department on its "Visa Bulletin."
