I'm a spouse of a lawful permanent resident and my I-130 got approved on Apr. 2005 (with priority date: Jan. 2003) I have a few questions and really apprecaite any asisstance:
1/ I know the immigrant visa number is not available for me right now (I'm in 2A category), but still Can i apply I-485 to adjust my status to PR with approved I-130 AND w/o an available immigrant visa number?
2/ If I couldn't, so here is the case: my wife is going to be a US citizen through naturalization soon like in a few months. Till then, I will be the immediate relative of a US citizen which means the immigrant visa will be immediate for me. At that time, I can use I-485 to change my status. My question is, with such a long waiting time (Priority date in 2003), Am I under any law to get I-485 approved faster? or Do I still have to strictly follow the recept date by the time I will apply I-485? https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/js...ectedOffice=72
