I-130 Procedure

Hi !
My brother is a US citizen & He had filed for me I-130 in May 2001. I recently got letter from INS for His Birth Certificate. We submitted that in time. Could you please tell how much longer I have to wait now to get the approval for I-130 & after approval how long does it take to get the Green Card.

It takes around 13-14 years for brother based green card.

Many Thanks for the Reply. As I told you earlier My Brother had sponsored me in April 2001. Good News is that My I-130 petition just got approved yesterday, what is the next step. Please advise, how far I am to get my Green-Card.

You are at least 10 years away from getting green card.

People who got sponsored in 1993 are getting it now.

Just keep waiting.
