I-485 Interview Rescheduling?

Hi,

Applied for my mother's I-130/131 & I-485 all concurrently. Got I-131 Adv Parole approved, and she travelled to India 2 months back.

Due to marriage function, my mother had to travel India on Adv Parole and wanted to stay there for few more months due to Pension alive Certificate for Govt job/Retiree pension. Also initially i was thinking i will go and bring her since she has Adv Parole and may need help at entry airport when they ask for documents, or any questions.

In June, we received one possible Interview Waiver letter, so I was happy. But got I-485 interview on Aug 24th letter last friday (July 24th).

First question: Should i reschedule interview or not a good idea?
Will I be able to reschedule for my mother's interview? should I call USCIS number but my mother is not with me here, so they may ask her to call, or as a Sponsor I can still reschedule the interview?

You could call as the Sponsor, though you may need to have her when you call.
However, I wouldn't change her interview date though, it would have been better she make two trips. Come and for her interview, then go back, which would also help or prevent her over staying Permanent Resident status given international travel time. That's just my opinion. Good luck!!

Thanks MaryH, my mother will be coming in on Adv Parole, so please let me know if we need to be aware or have specific documents entering with Adv Parole, other than AP, Green card receipt documents. She doesn't speak English much so please let me know if I need arrange any translator at entry airport etc.

No that was after few more months, as I came back from India just 2 weeks back, but this letter came last friday and earlier letter on June 11th said your case is potential interview waiver, so was relaxed a bit.

ok thanks. Rescheduled by calling USCIS number, let's see when then next interview date comes up, will have someone speaking english come along with her.
