Nothing here about same-sex marriage visas?

I tried searching 'same sex' and 'gay' (rejected as too common, etc.), 'same-sex' and 'homosexual' (no match), and 'queer' (1 match, but different meaning). Is it possible that no same-sex couples are participating here? Our problem is that we are both living in Canada (US cit and foreigner) and would like to return to US together after visa is approved. Any experience here with this?

You need to start by submitting petition paperwork (I-130 for married couple or I-129F for unmarried couple), just like everyone else bringing a loved one to the U.S.

Thanks, Ray. However, since I am not currently resident in the US, I've been told that's not the usual case. I don't have a job (retired) or a place to live in the US. We'll have to arrange those together, after we return. Immigration may not like that situation? Eleanor
