Hi there,
Apologies if this has been posted before but I couldn't find anything that definitely answered my question.
I'm helping my mom (naturalized U.S. citizen) sponsor a green card for my uncle (Chinese citizen, PRC) using I-130. Filling out the form and submitting proof of citizenship for my mom isn't an issue but the problem is that neither my mom nor my uncle have birth certificates (it just wasn't something that was issued when they were born).
Here's what I'm wondering:
1. What kind of document would I have to procure to prove that my mom and uncle are siblings?
2. Because the USCIS website doesn't explicitly state this, will whatever I submit be approved before the ~12-year wait? I really wouldn't want to wait for the full 12 years, only to find out that my original documentation wasn't sufficient.
Thanks a lot for the help!
