  • New to this needing advice/help filling for my spouse

So I recently got married to a Mexican citizen I'm a US citizens in the military. I been trying to do research about the process to have my wife with me here in the US. I talked to some attorneys but they are really expensive like 2500 just to do the paperwork plus application fees, so I decided to do it on my own and found this site been reading some of the post and it looks pretty easy.
So to start the process do I just need to file the I130 and both of us G325a with all the other documents asked for and froof of a real marriage

I do not know how being in the military affects your case. I recommend using the resources mentioned on this USCIS website https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office
You can request to speak with a USCIS officer, get assistance filling out forms. Also call USCIS to see if they can help you make sure the forms you have mentioned will be OK to use since you are in the military. But yes you are correct you need to file the I130 alongwith the G325a for both of you. You may want to submit a G1145, it an optional form and will allow you to receive updates from USCIS via text and email. If you do choose to submit the G1145, make sure it is on TOP of all the other forms you will be submitting.

It will still cost you some money. You will need to file either individually or concurrently, fees for the I-130 Petition for Alien relative runs $430
The I-485 will cost $1020 and that includes the Biometric fee, also you will need to budget for your spouses medical exam which will run $200-$500 based on the amount of vacines she has had.

Becuase you are bringing an immediate family member into the US you will have immediate status, IE: you will not be required to wait for a visa #
