Hi!
I hold a CR6 green card and have received a letter recently saying my petition for removal of conditions has been approved and I should receive the permanent card at some point.
However, it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I changed my name to my husband's last name (for professional reasons mostly). Now that I have, do I have to go through the whole filing process again and pay hundreds of dollars in filing fees to have my green card re-issued with the new name on it? And am I required to actually have a new green card issued or could I hang on to the one with my maiden name until I can actually afford the filing fees...?
