  • Will USCIS count my income from abroad with my US Citizen Spose?

I am married to a US Citizen.
She will apply for me as her spouse and change of my status.
    I am the inmigrant here.
I am currently with a valid B 2 Visa inside the United States.
My Current I-94 is still valid for another 45 days.

My problem is that my wife only reported 22,500 in income to IRS last year, and she has 2 children, so with me the house hold is 4.

The requirement of affidavid would be 30,375. So she is short.

I have a permanent contractor job i do remotely from wherever I am in my country.

With that income we would top the requirement ammount (some extra 20,000)

So, would USCIS, acept my income from abroad as the sponsored inmigrant? I can get documents to prove my income and that they will continue.

I believe that USCIS will be reluctant to accept your foreign income, since you have no legal right to be working in the U.S. You can try to submit an I-864A as Household Member, but it may be rejected. Look for a co-sponsor as a backup.
