I am helping my mom fill out the forms and I am stuck on Form I-864 Part 5. Our household is my mom, my step-dad, my 10-yr old brother and myself. I have a 1 for number 4 since my stepdad claims my brother as dependent in his taxes. Where would I put a 1 for myself since I do my own taxes and have my own income?

If you are a dependent child then you are counted in their household size. It doesn't matter whether you file taxes -- it matters whether you are their dependent or not. If you are not their dependent then you would not be counted in their household size (unless you want to be counted because their household income is not enough without you, in which case you can count yourself in #7)

I-864 Part 5 Sponsor's Household size...
Hi I am filling out the I-864 and I am sponsoring my wife. She has 2 children 13 and 9 from her previous marriage. I am not sponsoring them nor do I claim them as dependents but we all live in the same household. In Part 5 under those NOT sponsored in this affidavit, question 4. states "If you have dependent children, enter the number here." Since they are not my dependents should I write the number "2" for them OR "0"? ThanksComment
