new york gc processing time

Hey folks, based on the current processing time provided by uscis, it seems that some NY offices process I-485 for 10 months... Does it really take that long,since I was told the average time length is 4 to 6 months? Also how do I know which NY office will take my case? I live in Jamaica, Queens. Will my case be taken by Queens or Long Island or even NYC?

This New York Field Office serves the following counties in New York: Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, New York, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Rockland, Suffolk, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester.

This Long Island office serves the counties of: Nassau, Queens, and Suffolk.

This Queens office serves the counties of: Kings (Brooklyn) and Queens.
