I was a heavy smoker for 30 years more or less... no issues whatsoever. I quit about 3 years ago.

I-693 is blood test‚ urine test and skin test for TB plus vaccination records. Smoking never came up

I had the same concern, but no - a history of smoking wasn’t a problem for my I-693. They focus more on serious conditions like infectious diseases or drug abuse. Smoking alone didn’t affect anything

For the I-693, my history of smoking wasn’t a problem. They asked about it during the medical exam, but it didn’t affect my immigration process. Just answered honestly and moved on.

These days I’ve been more mindful about what I use, and I’ve looked into alternatives like a heated tobacco device, there’s some interesting stuff out there if you visit website. But in terms of the medical form, past smoking didn’t raise any red flags for me.
