We filed an I-130 October 2005 through an immigration lawyer in London for myself the (mother), stepfather and sister aged 11 years. The petition was approved in February 2006. We were told that we would be treated as one family unit on the form, but alas that didn't happen. The visa center only has made provision for me (mother) to go onto the visa stage. They have said that my husband has to apply on his own I-130 and my daughter, well?? Our lawyer advised us that it didn't make any sense and that it was the first time this had happened to her?, she has now advised us that our daughter could go on a student visa? We are awaiting our lawyers comments as to where we go from here as the student visa seems just as complicated!
