LPR Returning to USA on re-entry permit

Hi,

My parents have a valid re-entry permit which expires in August 2006. They are returning back to US this month. They were out of US for 2 years and 11 days.

My concern is that will they be questioned a lot at the port of entry? Their GC and re-entry permit is valid.
Some people had bad experiences even with all the valid documents so I am a little worried.

If any one has any information then please please let me know.

Yes, it is quite possible that they may be questioned a lot at the port of entry to make sure that they have not abandoned their permanent residence in US.

Immigration Questions asked to LPR at POE

I appreciate your reply. Thanks so much.

Their POE is Detroit and someone told me that immigraiton is little tough there. So now I am more worried.

Do you know what type of questions might be asked? And what should be the reply so that its proved that my parents haven't given up their residency in US.
