Green Card Sponsor for Step Parent
My Father and mother were legally married in Nepal. He also got married to my stepmother legally when I was about 5 or 6 years old ( i am not sure if there was any Law for polygamy).
My father never divorced my mother. My mother, step-mother, father, younger brother and I, we all lived in the same house when I was living in Nepal. My Father passed away about 12 years ago and the rest of the family still live together. I live in the USA.
I have already sponsored my mother for the green card and she has already received it.
Can I Sponsor the Green card for my step-mother?
They still all live in the same household. I am not sure how the law works. my stepmother has a marriage certificate issued to her which says she was married to my Father. Basically, my father legally married the second wife without ending the first marriage.
how does the End of First Marriage Rule apply to this situation?
