  • I-130A Question on addresses with J1 experience

    Good Day,

I want to make sure there's no gaps, or questions.

My wife completed two J-1 programs. A summer program in 2016 (Destin Fl), and a year long program in 2017/18 (Orlando, Fl)

On the part for addresses outside of the United States, she's only lived at one address, but should I break up the time periods for when she was in Florida? Or can I put that she has lived there from Birth to present?

That's the only real question I have about this form. Pretty much the entire package is ready to go just pending this form, and some items that she needs to send from the Philippines.

    Thank you for your time

    Hello,

When I filed my forms, my lawyer told me that there should not be any time gaps. So i would say break up the time and make sure no gaps there. I do not know if your wife needs J1 waiver before you submit the I485.

Again just base on my experiences. Getting advice from a lawyer if you need to.

    Good luck.

Thank you. I will just do that. She doesn't have any J-1 restrictions Housekeeping (2016) and Culinary (2017) according to each of her DS-2019.
