  • Can I send form first & supporting doc later?

My H1-B visa will be expired Feb 8, 2007. I have an approved petition that is filed by an employer different from the employer in the visa. The approved period is until Mar 26, 2009. I quited my job in Dec therefore I am not working now. I recently got married to a citizen. Do I need to file I-485 by Feb 8, 2007? If not, when is the deadline for me to file I-485.

I lost my birth certificate. I am applying for a certified copy in my own country. I will only receive the certified copy end of Feb.

I recently had body check but my doctor is not in the authorized list. Do I need to go to an authorized doctor to do it again?

Do I need to wait until I receive my certified copy of birth certificate & medical report before filing I-485?

You don't need valid H1B visa stamp. As long you have your H1 status, you are in legal status. You are not in hurry to file I-485. Take your own time.

Yes, you need to get medical exam from USCIS authorized doctor only.

Yes, you need all those before filling I-485.

      Admin..pls help !!!

My wife moved from F1 to H1 recently (does not have a new H1 stamp on passport). However, she has the H1 petition approval. Can I file for her 485/130 etc without the actual stamp ? I can..right ?

Also, once she gets Advance parole, can she travel and come back to USA based on the Advance parole (b4 she gets the actual GC)?

Also, are medical tests required even before filing 485 ? Do we have to take the reports for the 485 interview ? Thx !!!
