Everything's complete except the marriage cert which is not yet in security paper. It's a hurdle I still have to resolve. Is it true that you have to be physically residing in UAE in order to get a police cert ? My husband used to live in UAE too.

I have some questions:

1. Do you have to wait for notification from NVC that you can already submit DS-230 and the civil documents before actually sending them ?

2. Did you submit both the original and photocopy of the documents?

3. Did you get back the original documents? When?

After you pay the IV fees you can download the DS-230 form,and send the original documents along with it.Make sure you write your case# on every form.photos&document.
You dont have to submit photocopies.Just send the originals with the DS-230.
But when u go for the interview,take photocopies of all original documents u submitted.
You get the originals back at the time of interview.

Good jobs are really hard to find in this economy. Hopefully things will improve. Start working on your resumes in advance,and have your Grades evaluated.There r agencies who convert your college degree and grades to
US equivalents. Its not easy in the beginning. So be prepared mentally and hope and pray that things work out,and Im sure it will.

Yes Pike we are thankful for the movement forward, but VB has not returned to pre-retrogression date of June 2011. We need to pray harder, I guess.

Life Act 245i

hi everyone
I have a question regarding under life act i.e 245 i .A Petition was filed for my dad by his brother in 1996 . My parents got visa in 2007 when their priority date became available and i was out of petition because of age out .
But i got the visitor visa in 2008 and visited states 4 times .
But this time i got out of status in US . I came to know about LIFE ACT in which a petition is grandfathered to a beneficiary and i was a beneficiary when a petition was filed for my dad. So now i want to know am i eligible to apply under life act by using my dads petition and this will make an immediate visa number available for me .
If anyone know about life act please let me know
