Hi all, I'm new to dis immigration process and all these talk about pd is giving me a migraine. My pd is march 2010. Any ideas when its going to be current? How long do u guys think I'll wait.

probably 9-10 years. Monitor it through the visa bulletin.

Thanks for the reply. My case got approved 8th of july 2011. USCIS said my case has been forwarded to NVC, and NVC will contact me within 30days. What does it mean pls and do I have to wait 10yrs? I'm from Nigeria. Your reply is appreciated.

Something I forgot to add. I was asked for evidence in march this year, I sent my documents and pictures after which my petition was approved. I want to know if dis means that I'll soon be called for an interview or if they have the right to hold on to original copies of my birth certificate and other documents for 9 to 10yrs? I'm really confused here.

I'm monitoring this thread for some time already, but since my prioroty date is 08/2009 i am not active here yet. So, first of all, good luck to you all!

Recently, I have made some predicting chart in Excel, based on the past cutoff dates. I hope you'll find it usefull.

The attached chart shows the growing gap (in years) between the bulletin issue date and the cut-off date. For example July-11 Bulletin has "15-Jul-01" as cut off date, than the gap will be almost 10 years.

As you can see the growing trend of the gap is pretty linear since i have data for (1992).
Extrapolating the trend line results following predictions:

This is an awful prediction! Year 2011 will not end with PD 2/2001... maybe you are referring to year 2010. Also PD movements are not constant at all. There are years that move fast and years that move really slow.

The prediction is based on multiyear trend, and is not accurate, give or take half a year. So this is why the prediction for 2011 is 2/2001. It Means that by the trend we are ahead of schedule and might anticipate a freese in the future bulletins.

Anyway, it's useless for predicting short term dates, but a good estimate for those like me who still has a long wait ahead.

As you have said the movements are not constant, but the trend most sadly IS. Hope that there will be some radical change in it, thow

Mr Logic, Thanks for the analysis, You have not taken into account the number of 130 Petition Waiting for Visa under F3 Category. USICS periodically releases those numbers and based on those numbers in the last release, the situation looks worse than you have predicted.

Hmm!! Sounds like the person in that forum is playing a mean game. Giving false information ..one person with 2 different PD. Not a very nice character!!!! Well October will be comming soon,so lets see what happens.
