CSPA age is the age you get when you subtract the time it took for your case to be approved from your child's exact age.

Your son is in a better position than Puddy's child.

If you need humanitarian reinstatement contact a GOOD immigration lawyer to handle the case. He will tell you what good reason you should give to be approved.

Hi Aaydrian, glad to hear you are settling in NY. May I ask what line of work you are in? Work is the one thing that I am mostly concerned about once we get through. Are work prospects good in general in NY or in your particular line?

      Thanks

            Lab work is my area.

There are vacancies in that line but they are a quite few however general work vacancies have nice numbers.

AAydrian do you think it will help my sons position if i wrote to the asking for him to be protected on the CPS act ,i am hoping they move a little faster as he is my first child and would not want him to be left here without us parents he has never left us to go any where I am trying hard to keep him from certain influences.

If you were at the NVC stage it would help but it's too late for that now. Read my review again so when the time comes you have an idea of what to do.

Not to judge but based on what you said, if your kid was/is a problem child or he is easily manipulated or could have been lead a stray in Jamaica then coming to America will only magnify the problem. So don't think immigrating solves anything. Not one single trouble maker/person of questionable character that I know behaved themselves in their new country. They all ended up deported/in prison. However if you're kid is none of these things and you're just a typical concerned parent then my bad.

I think you guys will all get through so don't worry. Just make sure you do what you need to before or on the day of the interview.

PS. We've all had that 'one friend' and tons peer pressure and if your kid can't handle it in JA 'dawg nyam him suppah inna farin'.

Thanks Mtouch for directing us to AILA page. I only read all the areas titled "future flow :family" the ones that are of most interest to me at this point are the following:

To retain the family-sponsored immigrant categories for older married sons and daughters of United States Citizens and siblings of U.S citizens.

AND THE VERY NEXT LINE READS

To restore the family-sponsored immigrant categories for older married sons and daughters of United states citizens and siblings of U.S citizens 10 YEARS AFTER THE DATE OF THE ENACTMENT OF THIS ACT.

Can't wait to view the VB which should be available later today!!!!!
