Receipt Notice for I-130

I'm sure this question gets asked a lot, but I'm new here and haven't been able to find an answer.

I am married to a USC and just sent our I-130 application 2 weeks ago to the Chicago Lockbox. The attorney tells us that it takes about 2 weeks to get the Notice of Receipt, which he needs in order to send the I-485.

Does anybody have experience on this? How long does it usually take for a I-130 Notice of Receipt to arrive?

Now what is your status? Are you on h1 etc in the US ?
Since you are the spouse of the petitioner, you can file the I-485 with the I-130. Your lawyer had the choice of sending both the I-485 and I-130 together or send the I-130 and wait for the receipt.
